R.O.A.R. is a community founded by author and trauma survivor L. Lee McGuire. This community, which strives to empower you through sharing your TRUTH. By sharing, YOUR TRUTH will be accepted. By sharing and acceptance, R.O.A.R. believes you can learn to wield your own personal power with confidence.
You can attain, claim, and retain your personal power!
(I know you can, because against great odds...I did!)
This is a community for those that choose to build strong emotional health together.
The sheer power of a roar, and the energy which it emits, is one basis of my personal power. The roar in of itself is a significant characteristic of many animals. Felines for instance, are known to be patient, focused, confident, possess willpower, are balanced, strong and determined.
The above traits are just some of the significant characteristics of a self-confident person.
- R.O.A.R. is patient and determined.
- R.O.A.R. is determined to listen and believe.
- R.O.A.R. is here to help you strengthen your personal health through strengthening your personal power.
In a culture that sensationalizes violence, and crushes those that need to speak up and ask for help, the above reclaiming your personal power can be a challenge. Learning to have realistic expectations about the people or systems that you THINK will help you is also critical. These unfortunate realities may slow us down, but it has only strengthened R.O.A.R.'s resolve. It is through telling about my experience with a dangerous person, that R.O.A.R was born.
Once you read My Experience – A True Story you will see why R.O.A.R. exists today. Challenges are plenty for each one of us, and it is through the power of belief, acceptance, and sharing that we support each other. In the end, it is through support that we teach each other, and ultimately guide each other to own a powerful sense of self.
If you are stuck in a situation with a sociopath, narcissist, psychopath, OR a combination of these characteristics, OR being bullied, damaged or abused by a dangerous person, or environment with these characteristics, OR if you think you are being pursued, or targeted by the same, OR if you have, in the past been subjected to the dangerous person described above, and you are here. You are strong. We want to hear from you.
- Surviving, and recovery is worth it!
- Running from danger is brave!
- Listening to and trusting your instincts is critical!
- Each animal that ROAR's is unique, like you!
